DETERMINATION WAS THE KEY-ABIMBOLA

Sunshine Stars gaffer Samuel Abimbola said that his wards got the maximum points in their first match of the season against Kaduna United at the Akure Township Stadium due to determination.


Wing wizard Ajani Ibrahim who got only a goal throughout last season started this campaign when he netted
his side's only goal in the eighth minute of the game marred by missed chances and poor marksmanship.

Much was expected  ahead of the match after the management of the Akure Arsenal did a massive clearance of the technical crew few months after the team got to the semi finals of the 2012 CAF Champions League before losing to Al Ahly of Egypt 4-3 on aggregate.

"The lads played all their hearts out but were undone by their lack of direction at scoring positions," Abimbola told futbalgalore.blogspot.

It was a feeling for fans in Ondo State,as they had the chance to get a feel of their darling team.

The boys are expected to file out against Kwara United in a week two fixture at Ilorin Township Stadium.
