As reported by Abayomi Ademetan earlier in the week, the duo have been signed-on by the SPL side.
Defensive midfielder Gabriel Reuben, 22, and libero Papa Idris, 23, have both signed from Nigeria Professional Football League Kings Kano Pillars on long-term deals.
Reuben's key strengths are his passing and shooting ability. He is known for his immense physical presence which is often combined with lung-bursting runs from midfield, and has consequently been referred to as a ''human train’’ and a ''colossus’’ by various pundits. A typical example was the strike he netted against Malawi in Blantye. He played was a member of the Super Eagles squad that won the African Cup of Nations last month but didn’t play after being struck down by chicken pox.
Idris is highly rated in his homeland. He combines his mobility in defence with clean marking, he also has the ability to lead the rear when called upon by his coaches. The former Kaduna United skipper is a key component in the Nigeria's Home Based set-up, but missed out on the train to South Africa due to injury.
The pair will now join their countryman Rabiu Ibrahim – the playmaker signed from Celtic in January – at Rugby Park.
They are expected to be quality additions to the playing mechanism of the modest outfit.
good move for both players i wish them best of luck.
