CSKA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa has stated his determination to earn a
fulfilling career with Nigeria by putting his best to win more trophies with
the National team ahead of Kenya clash in Calabar next Saturday.
Musa is expected to lead the forward line for the Super Eagles in the
absence of AFCON scoring hero, Emmanuel Emenike against the Harambee Stars of Kenya alongside returning Seattle Sounders forward Obafemi
Martins and Dynamo Kiev's Brown Ideye.
The former Kano Pillars and JUTH FC starlet who scored a goal at the Africa Cup of
Nations in South Africa against Mali in the semi-final believes his days
of glory has just began following the triumphant victory in the finals
of the tournament seeing Nigeria halt 19 years of trophy search.
“I’m happy to be part of the Super Eagles and scoring my first AFCON
goal against Mali was a special night for me – we also went ahead to win
the finals. I intend to win more medals and trophies with Nigeria at
the international level and to do this my 110% commitment will be with
the Super Eagles.I love the atmosphere in the camp and I hope we all
continue to play as a family to achieve great accomplishment,” Musa said.
Musa who arrived Nigeria on Monday, spoke of Eagles plans to destroy the Harambee Stars of Kenya when
both sides meet on Saturday.
“We are fully prepared as a team to take on
the Kenya team as the bid to secure the qualification to Brazil 2014
World Cup is a must-attain task – I look forward to helping the team get
past the East Africans,'' the winger said.
The match in Calabar is expected to attract a massive turn out- as fans won't want to miss out in catching a glimpses of their heroes.The game is expected to kickoff 4pm at the UJ Esuene Stadium.
