Dolphins, who were last week held at home by Enugu Rangers, went behind
in the 31st minute when Okoro Charles tapped in right wing Usman
Nurudeen's low cross, to put Giwa one goal up.
Ex-Kaduna United midfielder Tijani Adamu levelled for Dolphins four minutes before the half time whistle.
The fair skinned goalkeeper proved to be the nightmare to the hosts as he saved his team from an away defeat.
The second half resumed with Dolphins attacking the visitors
ferociously but not until the 70th minute did they have a chance to go
ahead in the game, via the spot but Alhassane Dosso's penalty was saved
by goalkeeper Olorunleke of Giwa FC, much to the frustration of Ifeanyi
Egwim the man who won the penalty.
Dolphins kept piling on the pressure but even the introduction of Fred
Okwara for Egwim, and Isiaka Olawale for Tijani Adamu, couldn't get them
the winning goal, as Giwa got off to a good start after axing coach
Abdul Bidemi Biffo.
