Ten-man Enyimba International's hopes of winning the 2012/2013 Glo Nigeria Premier League was dashed following their two-nil loss to Sunshine Stars at the Akure Township Stadium.
Chinedu Udoji was adjudged to have handled the ball, while Markon Ojobo was sent-off in the second-half.
The defeat means that Enyimba can no longer win the 2012/13 GNPL title as they are still stuck on 59 points from 37 matches, four points adrift of the leaders, Kano Pillars with just one game left to play.
Former Enyimba midfielder, Phillip Auta scored the first goal from the spot, with CHAN hopeful Ebenezer Odunlami, nodding an 80th effort as the Peoples Elephants title hope was over.
