REACTION AS THE ORIENTAL DERBY ENDS IN FAVOUR OF THE FLYING ANTELOPES

Enyimba International Football Club gaffer Salisu Yusuf believes Enugu Rangers defeated his wards because they took their only chance on Saturday.

The Aba Elephants, who had dominated the match in the opening stages, went down against the run of play.

It was a tough one on the visitors who felt they had the chance to get a positive result in Enugu.’’Such is football’’, said one of the Aba fans who went home disappointed.

‘’It was a 50-50 tie out here in Enugu but I think we deserved more than the loss.

‘’We can’t cry,now is the time to be strong and keep going. We have a top team and we have time to recover.

‘’We have 37 more games, our lives is in our hands and we can change if we want to.

‘’Every game in the new season will have a different flavour. We look forward to our next match in Aba.’’

Meanwhile, Enugu Rangers tactician Felix Okey Emordi was modest in the assessment of his team.He was happy that his side won the oriental derby. He expressed satisfaction with the performance of his boys and looked forward to the next round of the money spinning CAF Champions League.

‘’The victory is a moral booster to our upcoming continental campaign against AS Vita.

‘’Matches are won and lost and today’s clash(Saturday) was no exception.

‘’I won’t say my boys played to expectation, but the main aim was grabbing the maximum points at stake.

‘’It was a massive game for us,’’the coach told www.futbalgalore.blogspot.com
