Keshi: Queiroz is Iran's main threat

Nigeria's Super Eagles will start their World Cup campaign later tonight when they face Iran in a group F match. Argentina had earlier defeated Bosnia & Herzegovina by 2-1 and a good start for the African champions will be very important as they start their World Cup adventure.

According to Fifa.com, Nigeria's coach Stephen Keshi who was the captain of the Super Eagles at the 1994 World Cup believes Iran experienced coach, Carlos Queiroz will be Iran's greatest weapon because of his experience.

“I think their coach is their biggest weapon, because he’s well experienced, he knows the game well,” said Keshi.

Keshi who admitted that he doesn't know the Iranian team so well emphasized that Nigeria won't take the Asian country lightly, that the Super Eagles will put in everything that they've got as they take each match as they come.

“For the Iran game we have to be focused. We have to concentrate and do our job. We’re not going to take Iran lightly because they’re not going to take us lightly, so we have to go out with everything that we have."

“They have a very good coach and I’m sure they also have some quality players. We don’t know Iran very well, but we’ll see them on Monday,” said Keshi.

The last time the Super Eagles went into the World Cup finals as African champions was in 1994 but the team couldn't get past the second round but this recent squad managed by Keshi are determined to go as far as they can in Brazil.
