Eagles are determined to do well says Attah

Super Eagles' team co-ordinator , Emmanuel Attah, says Nigeria’s World Cup squad are more determined than ever to succeed in Brazil following a suicide bombing that killed at least 14 people in their home country.

Boko Haram, an armed Islamic group has been blamed by police for Tuesday’s attack against a World Cup viewing site in Taraba State, northeast Nigeria which killed 13 people and left several injured.

However, Emmanuel Attah, said the team was shocked by the attack and united in trying to provide some comfort.

Attah Said “football is like a religion in Nigeria” and “if we beat Bosnia there will be happiness.”He told Associate Press(AP)

The Eagles got off to a shaky start drawing 0-0 with Iran and will face Bosnia on Saturday in their second group game.

Despite losing first choice defender Godfrey Obaboana to an injury,Attah is hopeful that the Eagles will triumph against Bosnia.

"We have a squad of 23 players, who are all ready to step in whenever needed,it's sad we'll be without Obaboana but I know we'll cope because we have ready and capable replacement".
