Papillo Fancies Semi Final For Super Eagles

Nwankwo Kanu, is confident the Super Eagles can go all the way in Brazil and make history as the first Africa team to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup.

Kanu made this known in an interview with Fifa.com when he was asked if he enjoys following the team around Brazil for their matches.

"Yes, I love it! Do I think I will be here for the whole tournament? I would say yes, because we are going to get to the semi-finals of course."

Papillo like Kanu is called by admirers also spoke about his playing days with Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi describing him as a leader.

"We used to call him the 'big boss' [laughs]. He is the big one who makes the decisions and we as the young ones had to respect that and follow him. But the good thing with him was that he had influence and I think he is showing that again with the way he is leading the national team,” the former Ajax, Inter Milan and Arsenal forward said.

The Ex Arsenal forward also said he believes the current crop of Super Eagles will pick a point against Argentina tomorrow as they have been getting better game by game.

"Yeah, I think so, because what has happened with the Nigerian team is that they keep getting better game after game, so I believe when we play Argentina the confidence and the winning mentality beating Bosnia will bring will mean we will be able to do well against Argentina,” he added.

He also believed the Super Eagles are still in a process of rebuilding and would be world beaters when the rebuilding is over.
