Director of Abuja Football College thumbs up Kogi United

Director of Abuja Football College, Titiloye Kumbi believes the Nigeria National League side, Kogi United FC is a team fit to campaign favorably in the Nigeria Premier League following his academy's 0-2 friendly lost to the Wada Boys on Tuesday in Lokoja.

Ebenezer Odeyemi converted a 28th minutes spot kick before Tony Wilson came from the bench to seal the victory for Kogi United with his trademark free kick.

It was the last tune-up game for Coach Fatai Osho led team as they go into their first NNL action against Ranchers Bees on Saturday.

Kumbi, who described Kogi United's performance as impressive charged them to improve on it to claim one of the tickets to the Apex league in the country.

"I must confess that their performance was impressive, they really showed that they are ready for the league, and I'm optimistic that with little improvement, the will win the league."

"With the type of management they have, led by my friend, Hon. Abdul Adama, I'm sure Kogi Utd will not lack anything. What they need is to make him proud by getting good results and they will be home and dry, Kumbi said.

Chief coach of the academy, Lawal Ahmed shared the same view with Kumbi on their opponent's performance in the friendly as he said that Kogi United display maturity required from team of their status.

Meanwhile, Coach Fatai Osho of Kogi United has called for support of soccer fans in the state as they play Ranchers on Saturday in Lokoja.
