Ordega Solitary Strike Takes Spirit To Second Spot In NWSL

Super Falcons striker Francisca Ordega scored a last-gasp goal which gave Washington Spirit a precious 1-0 win over Sky Blue at the Maryland SoccerPlex in their USA NWSL match on Saturday.
The win sent Spirit to second spot on the ladder with ten points, one less than leaders Chicago Red Stars, who have a match in hand.

It was her second league goal in five appearances for the team she recently joined as a free agent.

Ordega, 21, is one of the players expected to play a huge role for the Super Falcons at the 7th FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada.

She has defended the colours of Rivers Angels, Rossiyanka and Pitea IF in the past.
