The Daily Mirror reports that the Scottish Premier League champions are determined to lure the Glasgow-born player to Celtic Park and are set to test The Hornets resolve to hold onto the winger by making a bid of £4 million.
Watford will be returning to the EPL next season after an eight-year absence but Celtic are hoping that Champions League football could lure Ikechi Anya to Glasgow.
The 27-year-old was a key player in Watford's push for promotion, appearing 35 times in the Championship out of a possible 46.
Anya's profile has risen rapidly in the last few months on the back of his form for club and country, with the Scottish Football Writers' Association naming him Scotland's International Player of the Year.
He began his professional career with Wycombe Wanderers before spells with Oxford City, Sevilla Atlético, Celta Vigo, Granada and Cadiz.
Ikechi Anya has one year left on his contract with Watford.
