Issues of unpaid salaries have again started to surface in the 2014/2015 season of the Nigeria Nationwide League.
There are serious complaints brewing in the camp of FC Lokoja over unpaid salaries and the reaction from the players of the Lokoja based club is not encouraging.
The players boycotted training during the week, an action which might spell doom for the Lokoja based team if Kwara Feeders shows up for the NNWL week three match at the Lokoja Confluence Stadium.
Some players who spoke on condition of anonymity to Futball Galore gave reasons why they chose to act now. “It’s so unfortunate that we’ve found ourselves in this situation, we didn’t train on Wednesday and Thursday because we agreed to boycott Friday's game against Kwara Feeders.
“We are yet to be paid five-month salaries; the management promised to pay us this season and they are not even saying anything.
“We are not going to play on Friday and we won’t travel for the next away game until they pay us our entitlements.''
