The management of Kwara United FC of Ilorin, has announced the change
of the club’s alias from “Afonja Warriors” to “Harmony Boys”.
The club in a statement on Friday in Ilorin, signed by the General Manager Haruna Maigidansanma, said the change was part of the ongoing rebranding in the club.
“We will like to be known from now as “Harmony Boys” as against “Afonja Warriors”.
“Kwara United is not a small team and we must start to do things to prove this.
“Our state is state of harmony so it is right for the state-owned football team to be known as “Harmony Boys”, the statement said.
Meanwhile, the club has proceeded on a week’s break over the postponement of the Nigeria Premier League by three weeks.
It would be recalled that the league organisers, the League Management Company announced the break to pave way for harmonisation between clubs and new governments.
