The Flying Eagles of Nigeria rounded up their friendly games in their
tour of Germany with a comprehensive 4-1 win over the Under-23 team of
Freiburg.
The Nigerian team, preparing for the World youth championship in
Germany, comprehensively won their last two friendly games, and made it
three in three with this latest win.
Standby Flying Eagles striker Alhassan Ibrahim continued to enhance his
chances of being used as a replacement in case any of the forwards get
injured, as for the second game running he was on target.
His goal was the separating point between the Flying Eagles and the Freiburg Under-23 side at halftime.
Freiburg drew level a few minutes into the second half, but Saviour
Godwin and Ifeanyi Matthew restored the Flying Eagles' two-goal cushion
to demoralise any hope of a comeback for the Germans.
Usman Sale, another player not in the coach's final 21-man team, put
the game beyond the reach of the Germans with a fourth for the Flying
Eagles to hand them another comprehensive victory.
