We are primed for the league title: Confluence Queens Supporters Club

Members of Confluence Queens Supporters Club have sent a warning to rivals of the darling girls of Kogi State saying that the ultimate is the league.

At a meeting which had some prominent faces in attendance, members gave the chairman, Honourable Moses Nagogo Bako the all clear to continue the excellent work he started.

Team manager of Confluence Queens David Owolabi, who registered his presence was impressed with the turn out of the executives and members.

"I'm highly impressed with the attendance recorded here today (Friday). It shows we are committed to the project," he concluded.

Meanwhile, a die hard supporter of the club, Ahmed Ayinde, a scholar of Kogi State Polytechnic is sure the girls will deliver the Nigeria Women Premier League title at the end of the year.

He echoed the voice of the members in a chat with Abayomi Ademetan in Lokoja on Friday.

"We fear no one and that is the tonic we need to do well in the coming season.

"I believe with the experience of Oluwole Santana, Adamu Suleiman and Charity Enwere we are destined to achieve success, he said.

On the quality of players in the fold of the Lokoja Queens, the Business Administration scholar expressed confidence in the abilities of some of the retained key players.

"It was a relief for me when good players like Rita Obeni, Remilekun Omamuli and Ginika Ikeh didn't move to other clubs. They will make us mount a challenge in the new campaign," he declared.

The 2014 Nigeria Women Premier League will kickoff by 15th February 2014.
