U20 women's head coach Dedevbo: We won't be bullied by South Africa

Nigeria U-20 coach Peter Dedevbo insists his team will not be bullied by South Africa in the Canada U20 women qualifier on Saturday.

The Falconets need to protect a 6-0 advantage secured in the first leg in the return encounter of the final qualifier in Soweto.

And despite being mindful of an expected attacking onslaught by the South Africans to reverse the scoreline in their favour, Dedevbo says his team will go for more goals.

“We fully deserve the 6-0 advantage recorded in Abuja in the first leg, that has given us the upper hand,” he told futbalgalore.blogspot.com when the team touched down in early Thurday morning.

“They (South Africa) have to do all they can to reverse the result but we won’t allow ourselves to be pushed around.

“We will attack from the blast of the whistle and hit them.”

Falconets arrived in Johannesburg on Thursday morning and trained in Soweto today (24 January).

Officials from Cameroon have been assigned to take charge of the match, with Neguel Therese as the centre referee. Therese will be assisted by Carine Atezambong Forno and Lum Rochelle while Aboutou Therese Sylvie will sit in as the fourth official. Glada Mokowe from Botswana has been appointed match commissioner.
