LMC plan to arm Nigerian referees

Determined to put a total end to hoodlums' menace during league matches, the League Management Company (LMC) has revealed plans to arm Nigerian referees with stun guns.

Supremo of the body, Hon Nduka Irabor stated this while apologising to the Nigeria Referees Association (NRA) over attacks on its members during last season's league matches. He maintained that the body would stop at nothing that the body would stop at nothing to ensure protection of referees at match venues.
