Former Budapest Honvéd midfielder Marshal Johnson is backing the Flying Eagles to progress past the group stage of the Fifa Under 20 World Cup by beating Hungary on Sunday morning.
But the 25-year-old made it clear that the coach Manu Garba - led side must be wary of the opponents as they are tactically sound.
“I haven’t watched the games of this world cup yet because it’s played in the night. I left Hungary for some time now.
“They have good academies in Hungary which should make them tactically sound but I’m rooting for the Flying Eagles to win.
Marshal Johnson represented Budapest Honvéd for two seasons and played 27 matches in the top flight, scoring once.
He is now on the payroll of Gorica in Slovenia.
