Fuad Salami has promised to keep himself under control. The former
Flying Eagles star has previously been ignored in Nigeria squad by
coaches in the past.
Super Eagles gaffer Stephen Okechukwu Keshi gave him a silver lining with an inclusion in the African Nations Championship team and and he has now assured everyone that he has no intention of causing any trouble again.
"Don't worry, there will be no problems again and I have also changed from Gbolahan Salami to Fuad Salami," he told a source. "I will keep myself under control. Keshi is one of the greatest coach I've worked with in my career, he is a great person. I must thank him so much."
He added: "I've dreamed of playing abroad since I was a child but my focus is on Warri Wolves and winning a World Cup place. Wearing the Nigeria jersey has always been my dream and now it has become reality. Now the World Cup is around the corner, which is the biggest competition in global football. I'm so fired up I can't wait to get started and win a place in the train.
Salami also reiterated his desire to remain to help his new club, Warri Wolves.
"You know me by now, I always want to improve. I hope to lift trophies, hopefully even the Glo Nigeria Premier League..."
