Major shake up on Confluence Queens' technical bench, as four players are axed

Barely 21 days to the kickoff of the Nigeria Women Premier League season, the management of Confluence Queens have confirmed the appointment of former Adamawa United star, Abubakar Musa as an assistant coach of the team.


Image maker of the team Tosin Ojo said that Suleiman Adamu has been elevated to role of acting head coach of the side, following the sack of Oluwole Babatunde Santana.

Meanwhile four players have been axed by the Kogi State side. They are Idegwu Blessing, Mariam Akingbade, Sidi Ajibola and Nkoro Joy.

Blessing, Mariam and Sidi were shown the exit for not performing, while Joy was dropped due to health issues..

As part of moves to compete at the highest level, the club have invited Augustine Mary, Amos Hannah and Jimoh Mabel for trials.

Confluence Queens are away to Bayelsa Queens in the week 1 of the new season due to kickoff on March 1st, 2014.
