Several Nigeria players at home and abroad made case for inclusion in
our team of the week. The week was full of skills and zeal on the part
of our representatives.Dayo Adeyoriju made a winning return to
Oman FC's starting XI. Nigerians also performed well in India and
Vietnam with Gabriel Obatola, Ranti Martins, Timothy Anjembe, Samson
Kayode all making waves with their performance.
Obafemi Akinwunmi was the super sub for Seattle Sounders, Joseph Yobo
silenced his critics with a fantastic display for Fenerbahce in a derby
win over Galatasaray.
On the local scene, Laide Okamlahon's
heroics nicked a point for Shooting Stars SC against Sharks FC on
Sunday. The highlights on the domestic front were Sibi Gwar's hat-trick,
Tony Wilson's brace, Samuel Akinbinu's brilliant effort and Isah Akoh's
rocket. Femi Olowo of C.O.D United capped a great performance with a
goal against Abia Comets.
