Sunshine Stars defender,Alaba Osawe applauded the
performance of his teammate,Ajani Ibrahim after the Akure side secured a
valuable one-nil win against Kaduna United in Akure on Sunday.
‘’Ajani is a good player and I have always prayed for him
despite an average show last season. He has what it takes to be a great
player,’’ the young centre-back,who had a stint at First Bank Football Club
told futbalgalore.blogspot.com.
Ibrahim Ajani was the team’s topscorer in the 2011
campaign, but was not in his best form last season. He was overshadowed by Izu Azuka, who has been sold to Esperance Sportive Tunis.
On the missed chances in front of goal he said: ‘’We should
have scored more goals but we are happy with the three points.I believe God has
great plans for us.
The youngster lined-up alongside Shotayo Adebayo at the
heart of the defence, that also paraded Solomon Kwambe and Precious Osasco. He
led the line and was not afraid to initiate attack from the back-line.
