Super Falcons' camp bubbles as usual suspects arrive in Abuja

The Nigeria senior women's national, the Super Falcons have resumed camping ahead of the build-up match against their Cameroonian counterparts in Abuja.

Team gaffer, Edwin Okon, had issued a Tuesday April 1st deadline for the 34 invited players to report to camp ahead of the friendly match with the Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon, which comes up on April 15th at the Abuja National Stadium.

The six-time African champions will host their rivals in a high-profile friendly which serves as a build-up match for the Falcons ahead of two-legged final qualifying game for the 2014 Africa Women's Championship (AWC) against the She-Amavubi of Rwanda.

The coach who also heads Rivers Angels' technical crew said time was very important in the assignment against Cameroon.

Usual suspects like Evelyn Nwabuoku, Cecilia Nku, Sunday Uchechi and Ngozi Okobi all shone like million stars in the team's Monday training session. Training is expected to continue today, with focus on fitness and tactical drills, futbalgalore.blogspot.com gathered from an official of the team.

Okon was drafted to the team as an interim manager after he led the Falconets to the semi-finals of the FIFA U-20 Women World Cup in 2012. Recently, he added the Federation Cup to his already rich trophy cabinet, but narrowly missed out on the league shield to Nasarawa Amazons.
