Sarkin compounds Wolves woes

Dolphins star Bolaji Sarkin scored a crucial winning goal as the Stanley Eguma managed team beat a Warri Wolves side 1-0 on Wednesday.

The Garden City were the better team throughout as Sarkin headed home from a rebound after Isiaka Olawale's shot was parried from close range for the only goal in the second half.

Moses Ocheje who twisted his ankle while taking a goal kick couldn't continue and was replaced by Sunday Rotimi.
The away side's best chance was a 25-yard shot which was saved brilliantly by Rotimi as the game progressed at the Liberation Stadium.
It was a rain-soaked encounter with the homers missing many half chances. The introduction of powerful Sopuruchi Stanley in the second stanza did little to save the Seasiders from bowing down to the superior powers of Dolphins.

But Wolves' failure to score will have caused some concern for manager Paul Aigbogun, who took over from Solomon Ogbeide at the end of last season.
