Tale: FC Lokoja have the edge

Number one goalkeeper of FC Lokoja, Tale Godwin believes that the club's level of determination has given them the advantage in their battle to pick one of the two promotion slots available in the Pool B of the Nigeria Nationwide League.

The YSFON product has been a revelation for the former Nigeria National League campaigners and he hopes his team-mates keeps the tempo and defeat Apa United on Friday at the Lokoja Confluence Stadium .

With promotion to the NNL on the horizon of the club, the younger brother of Super Sand Eagles key player (Tale Victor) is happy to see his team show some fight to go with their finesse.

The teenager told futbalgalore.blogspot.com: ''No one had expected us to be in a promotion range. We won't be complacent but one thing is that we will continue to show determination to be successful.

''We know we can play good football but we never want to get away from that fighting spirit, that ability to dig in. Most importantly we are targeting at least three points on the road."

The Golden Eaglets hopeful says his focus is on the upcoming clash against Apa United.

''We hope to consolidate by winning in front of our home fans on Friday, the game against Apa is what I'm thinking of right now. For sure national team invitation will come at the appointed time that God destines,'' the 2013 YSFON Cup winner disclosed to futbalgalore.blogspot.com.
