Bobby rescues Taraba, as pressure mounts on Baraje

Bobby Abel gave Glo League newcomers FC Taraba a 1-0 win over five-time Nigeria League champions Enyimba Fc of Aba.

 
Enyimba, who lost 1-0 to another league newcomers Abia Warriors, never got going and it was a matter of when not if the home team will open scoring or not.
 
The moment finally came in the 19th minute when Bobby Abel finished smartly after a fine move to put FC Taraba 1-0 up in a jam packed stadium in Jalingo.
 
The host held on to end the first half 1-0 against Enyimba.
 
Upon resumption of the second half Enyimba seize the initiative going forward but couldn't find a breakthrough to level the scores.
 
Enyimba continued to be very poor in the game, with FC Taraba more organised and determined to win the game forcing coach Zachary Baraje to introduce Andrew Abalogu for Sibi Gwar, who immediately drew a fine save of goalkeeper Richard Ocheayi of FC Taraba in the 71st minute.
 
The chanced happened to be Enyimba's only real attempt to level scores and at the blast of the final whistle the jam packed Jalingo Stadium went delirious, while for the people's Elephant their second consecutive lost has heaped more pressure on under fire coach Zachary Baraje.
