Segun Fatunwase, should be a happy man, following the encomium the
manager of Globacom Nigeria Premier League outfit, Maurice Cooreman,
showered on him, describing the agile goalkeeper as awesome after his
heroics in the Unity Cup victory over Doma FC over the weekend.
Commenting on the efforts of the custodian who saw action for 90 minutes and saved one of the spot kicks that ensured the Premier League side won the tournament that had 12 teams in attendance, the Belgium born coach was particularly impressed with the performance of Segun, noting he was excellent in goal.
“We played with great intensity and pace to our game, but it's the players who do it and I got a much better reaction from them.
“The team was excellent and I thought Segun Fatunwase had an excellent game in the 6-5 shootout win.
“So we are back to the level that I know we can play at and, obviously, we have got a very strong team.
