Bacary Sagna feels it is important for Arsenal to focus on
their own game rather than looking at teams around them as they look to
earn a top four finish.
Tomas Rosicky scored twice as Arsenal defeated West Brom at the
Hawthorns on Saturday, a victory which saw the Gunners climb into the
top four for a brief spell.
Tottenham's draw against Everton means the White Hart Lane are just
two points clear of their North London rivals having played a game more.
Just six points cover the four teams fighting for Champions League
football and Sagna believes the win against West Brom could prove vital
come the end of the season.
"It was really hard,” Sagna told Arsenal Player. “We were 2-0 up but
we put ourselves in trouble, losing some stupid balls and they managed
to score.
“We knew it was going to be difficult in their stadium with their
fans but we managed to keep going, we managed to fight until the end and
we managed to take the three points.
“Winning is really massive. We knew we have to take it game by game
and take maximum points. We're on a good run and we want to keep that
going because we still have six weeks to go until the end of the season
and we want to qualify for the Champions League.
“We don't want to look at other teams. We just want to look at our own team and finish in the top four.”
