It was a classic case of a servant being above his master in Agege last Saturday when MFM FC defeated Prime FC two-nil at the Agege Stadium.

The match was a Nigeria National League week 16 league encounter which attracted dignitaries like former NFF Secretary General Taiwo Ogunjobi and ace broadcaster Godwin Enakhena.

Oshogbo boys were humbled and beaten by a rejuvenated MFM which paraded a hosts of new signings in their line-up like goalkeeper Joshua Enahoro aka ‘’Aplate’’, Akiode Ikinne and Chigozie .

Barely eight minutes into the match, a penalty was awarded to the hosts, which inspirational Femi Oladejo calmly slotted to the far right of Akande’s goal post for his 4th goal of the campaign. The visiting fans expected the penalty specialist aka ‘’Ejo’’ to salvage the situation but he met a match in the former First Bank and Pachuca midfielder.

MFM were really determined to win the match for two reasons. First to avenge the 4-2 defeat they suffered in the hands of Prime in Ibadan and secondly they wanted to continue their winning streak at their fortress.

The complete demoralization of Prime came with the second goal. Twenty-one shirted Al-Amin curled a fantastic freekick to beat Akande in the 21st minute of play.

The performance exhibited by the likes of Femi Oladejo, Julius Emiloju, Joshua Enahoro, Ifeanyi George and a hosts of others must have impressed Godwin Enakhena who nodded in satisfaction.

When hostilities however resumed in the second half the attacking machinery of Prime that went to sleep in the first half later woke up.

At this point MFM midfield allowed Prime attackers the opportunity to penetrate their territory. It was not long before Ifeanyi George was giving his marching orders. The visitors also had former Shooting Stars ace Tope Orelope sent-off for dangerous play.

MFM, however , found solution to Prime’s aggressiveness , by keeping them on offside position. This helped check mate the visitors.
