NAIJA PLAYERS XPLOITS ABROAD(FEMALE VERSION)


Skillful forward Cynthia Uwak continued her impressive performance in the Finland Female League. The all action striker netted a hat-trick as Aland United continued their early season run. The prey Kokkola F10 were simply no match to the leaders. The cracker ended 6-1 in favour of Aland.

Rossiyanka failed to pile-up the pressure on Zorkiy, after earning a draw against Zvezda Perm at the Stadion Zvezda (Perm'). Super Falcons sharp shooter Desire Oparanozie was in good form, but was unable to net a goal in the colours of the UCL quarter finalists.

KIF Örebro kept up the pressure on rivals Tyresö , with a 1-1 draw against Umea in the Swedish Damallsvenskan. Super Falcons stars Ogonna Chukwudi and Rita Chikwelu gave a good account of themselves representing the hosts. Former youth star Sarah Michael created the assist that led to Orebro's only goal.

Sunnanå snatched a one-draw at Linköping. Former Pelican Stars forward Perpetua Nkwocha was outstanding as a hole behind the striker for the away side. Also in action was Helen Ukaonu, who spotted jersey number 17.

The 2012/2013 Turkish Women League ended with Super Falcons defender Onome Ebi making a bold statement in the colours of Ataşehir. With Adana leading 2-0 at halftime, the former Bayelsa Queens star was brought on to add the needed bite to a blunt attack. She responded with a clean finish that made the scoreline 2-2 in the 65 minute. She capped a super sub role with the assist that resulted in her team's 4th goal. The game ended 4-2 in favour of Atasehir.
