Nigeria U20 fly past Tanzania in Dar er Salam

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria defeated their Under-20 counterparts of Tanzania 2-0 in an Africa Youth qualifier in a game played at the 60,000-capacity National Stadium in Dar er Salam.

The first half ended 0-0, but the flying Eagles shocked their host in the 59th minute through Ex-Under 17 World cup winner and Celta Vigo new signing Musa Yahaya.

Yahaya was also instrumental in the team's second, setting up Taiwo Awoniyi after a classic counter attack as the host searched for an equaliser eight minutes from time.

Tanzania now have a mountain to climb in the second leg scheduled to be played in a fortnight, while the Flying Eagles will feel they have one foot in the next round.
