GEJ urges Falcons to reclaim lost glory

President Goodluck Jonathan has urged the Super Falcons to ensure that they not only beat Rwanda but go to Namibia and reclaim the African Women Championship (AWC) they lost in 2012.
President Jonathan who, spoke through the Sports Minister Tam Danagogo when he visited the Super Falcons at their training session at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch, said he expects the Falcons to go to Rwanda and show them that they are Africa's best.
"Mr. President is happy to hear that you girls are angling to return to the top of African women game again. He wants you to do the nation proud by reclaiming the AWC title after eliminating Rwanda in the qualifier
"The government is solidly behind you and will give you all you need to succeed. President has promised he would be monitoring you through the AWC and would honor you deservedly if you bring glory to the country"he stated
The minister then charged the girls to redouble their efforts as the whole nation is looking up to them to win laurels that will make the country proud.
He then wished the team well and charged them to go to Rwanda and beat their host and make their qualification for AWC easy in the return leg.
