Telecommunications firm, Globacom, has
urged the Super Eagles to use the friendly against Scotland to perfect
their strategies for a glorious outing at the World Cup.
The Super Eagles will trade tackles with
Scotland at Craven Cottage, home ground of English Championship side
Fulham on Wednesday. The match is expected to showcase the Eagles’
readiness for the World Cup in Brazil.
“Like all Nigerians at home and abroad,
we look forward to seeing the Super Eagles in top flight as they tackle
Scotland in London,” Globacom said in a statement on Tuesday.
“We have limited time left before
Nigeria begin their World Cup campaign against Iran, Mexico and
Argentina at the group stage. We therefore expect the Eagles to use this
match to demonstrate their capability. They should however play safe
and avoid unnecessary injuries that could set the team back.”
Nigeria will also play against Greece on June 3 and USA on June 7 as preparations continue ahead of the World Cup.
