Eguavoen: Ejike, Shehu and Kwambe are ripe for World Cup

Head coach of Bendel Insurance of Benin, Austin Cerrezo Eguavoen  has  posited that some outstanding players in the African Nations Championship are capable of picking shirts for Brazil 2014.

The immediate past gaffer of C.O.D United told the press that Ejike Uzoenyi, Abdullahi Shehu and Solomon Kwambe are ready to fight for places in the 23-man squad for the FIFA mundial.

“We’re blessed with talents but Stephen Keshi should be allowed to focus on his plans for the World Cup.

“Enugu Rangers winger Ejike Uzoenyi, Kano Pillars midfielder Abdullahi Shehu and Sunshine Stars right-back Solomon Kwambe could all be relied upon to fight for jersies in the main team for a spot but the wind at the higher level could blow differently, so we should support Keshi for whatever decision he makes as regard his World Cup squad,” Eguavoen told a reliable voice.

He also urged the national team to win the bronze medal of CHAN during today's match with Zimbabwe.

“Of course, we need the losers game, we can’t afford to lay back and allow the Zimbabweans to ride over us, we must strive to take something home,” he former Enyimba FC coach said..
