Super Eagles trains hard for the Flames

Nigeria's Super Eagles have commenced full training ahead of their match against The Flames of Malawi on Saturday in the African qualifiers for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

All but five of the invited players are in camp in Nigeria's southern city of Calabar, where the match will be played.

According to local media reports on Wednesday, those in camp include Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi, new Liverpool player Victor Moses, Efe Ambrose, Sunday Mba, Ahmed Musa, Obinna Nsofor and goalkeepers Vincent Enyeama, Austin Ejide and Chigozie Agbim.

Nigeria is not leaving anything to chance ahead of the match, which has triggered some hot exchanges between Nigeria's head coach Stephen Keshi and his Malawian counterpart, Tom Saintfiet.

Disagreements over the venue have caused Keshi to make comments that Saintfiet, from Belgium, construed to be racist, hence he has reported the Nigerian handler to world soccer's governing body, FIFA.

Governor of the host Cross River state Liyel Imoke has assured that the entire state would be out to support the Nigerian team on Saturday.

Also, Guinness, official sponsor of the Nigeria Super Eagles, has announced a US$2,000 reward for each goal scored by the National team against Malawi.

Players still being expected in camp include Emmanuel Emenike, Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi, Emmanuel Attah, Elderson Echiejile, John Ogu and Emmanuel Emenike.

Nigeria, which leads Group F of the qualifiers on nine points, just needs to avoid a loss to pick the ticket from the group to the playoff round.

Malawi, which is next in the group on seven points, must win to qualify.

Namibia on five points and Kenya on three are out of contention for the group's ticket
