Malaga draw 2-2 at Valladolid in La Liga

Malaga newcomer Bartlomiej Pawlowski's brilliant goal earned his team a 2-2 draw at Valladolid on Friday, as Bernd Schuster's team remained unbeaten in four straight Spanish league games.

Four minutes after going on, the 20-year-old Pole used one touch to keep Ignacio Camacho's lobbed pass in the air before quickly turning and firing home an unstoppable left-footed shot for the 76th-minute equalizer.

Malaga started strong when Roque Santa Cruz opened the scoring in the 23rd as rain began to fall on Jose Zorilla Stadium. But Valladolid surged ahead on two almost identical goals from corner kicks by Patrick Ebert headed in by Javi Guerra in the 56th and Humberto Osorio in the 64th.

Those goals broke Malaga's three-game run of keeping clean sheets.

"We got the point cheap," Santa Cruz said.

"We should have had the game under control after going in front but we complicated it on set pieces. We have to go back over that. We can't let that happen. But we got the draw on a great individual action."

Pawlowski's strike swung the match back in the visitors' favor and in the 84th Malaga striker Mounir El Hamdaoui hit the crossbar with a shot that took a deflection of another player.

Pawlowski joined Malaga on loan from Widzew Lodz this offseason. Valladolid was left with one win through seven rounds.
