Aalesund failed to get past the stubborn defence line of Brann after a drab stalemate in a week 25 Eliteserien fixture.
The hosts started brightly and Leke James went close on a handful of occasions.
The visitors grew into the game and ended the first half on top but they also failed to score.
Aalesund came closest to a goal in the second period but James saw his header cleared off the line.
Akeem Latifu held his own marshalling the back-four of Aalesund.
Aalesund are now 4th on the log, while Brann are 6th, 4 points below Aalesund.
