Reoprts in the French Press have claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo met with Monaco twice over the summer.
Le 10 Sport have insisted that the Real Madrid forward had two meetings with the club’s owner Dmitry Rybololev during the transfer window.
The Russian businessman reportedly offered the Portugal international €20m per season, after tax, to sign for the Ligue 1 team.
However, the transfer was never in question, with Los Blancos unwilling to let their star asset go.
Ronaldo is expected to sign a new deal at Santiago Bernabeu in the next few weeks.
