NAIJA PLAYERS XPLOITS ABROAD.....COMPILED BY AYODELE FASUSI

*In Jan Breydel Stadion,Club Brugge were ruthless winning 3-1 against Chuka Ogbu's Oud.The Nigerian was substituted late in the game.

* Shola Ameobi's second-half introduction couldn't stop Newcastle from going down 2-1 at Spurs.

* At Riverside,Barnsley won 3-2 against hosts,Middlesbrough.Former Manchester City winger,Kelvin Etuhu lasted the entire duration in the colours of the winning side.

* Mjallby were devastating winning 4-1 against Lyngby.Kogi-born defender,Gbenga Arokoyo netted a brace.

* Anthony Ujah fired blanks as Cologne grind out a goalless draw at Cottbus.

* At Abe Lenstra Stadion,Uche Nwofor was on the scoresheet in the colours of Venlo.The strugglers drew 2-2 against Heerenveen.

* At Estadi Ciutat de Valencia,Levante lost 2-1 against Malaga.Obafemi Martins was on for 90 minutes.

* Air India held on against a Dempo onslaught late in the game, to register a 2-1 win in an I-League game at the Balewadi stadium in Pune on Sunday.

*Second half strikes by Prakash Thorat in the 51st minute and Ezeh Henry in the 58th minute was enough for the hosts.


*Macauley Chrisantus netted an 87th minute strike which was too late for Las Palmas in a match they lost 3-1 at Alcorcon.

*Churchill Brothers SC have only themselves to blame as they allowed Prayag United SC twice to comeback and equalise after having done the hardwork to take the lead in a round 20 I-League match, on Sunday.Rantie Martins was on scoresheet in the colours of Prayag.




*Pailan Arrows hosted Sporting Clube de Goa at the Salt Lake Stadium with the away side coming out triumphant with a 2-0 victory, with Ogba Kalu netting one of the goals.
