The Italian side have brought in Mimmo Di Carlo as Coach to replace
Attilio Perotti, opting against Davide Nicola’s proposed return.
The Serie A strugglers only moved last Monday to remove Nicola from the bench and bring technical director Perotti in.
However, on from a poor reception from the club’s ultras and a 3-0
defeat at Roma in Week 20, Perotti yesterday reportedly indicated to
President Aldo Spinelli his intention not to remain in the role for
long, with advice that Nicola should be reinstated.
Spinelli was widely seen to have then met with Nicola, Perotti and
sporting director Stefano Capozucca to negotiate the 40-year-old’s
return.
