With their places in the African playoff for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers already assured, Egypt and Algeria will Tuesday play formality matches against Guinea and Mali respectively.
Egypt took an unassailable 15-point lead in Group G even before this weekend's last second-round group matches and so qualified irrespective of what happens Tuesday against Guinea.
For the Algerians, the Group H match against Mali will not count as the north Africans had already gone through with 12 points from five matches. Their opponents Tuesday, Mali, are on 10 points and will not make any impact even if they win.
The other eight qualifiers are Ethiopia from Group A, Tunisia from Group B, Cote d'Ivoire from Group C, Ghana from Group D, Burkina Faso from Group E, Nigeria from Group F, Cameroon from Group I, and Senegal from Group J.
The 10 group winners will advance to the third and final stage of the qualifiers, where they will be drawn into home-and-away ties.
The aggregate winner of each tie will qualify to represent Africa at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
