France: Africans In Action On Friday


Cote d'Ivoire forward Christian Kouakou continue to impress in the French Ligue 2 as he opened the scoring in Tours' 1-1 draw against league leaders Angers.

The 22-year-old has now scored 5 goals in 9 appearances, already beating his record of 4 in 24 games of the 2012/2013 season.

French-born Moroccan attacking midfielder Fayçal Fajr converted from the spot to score the only goal of the game in Caen's victory over Le Havre. Senegal centre back Zargo Touré was sent off for the foul that lead to the penalty.

Congo DR midfielder Christian Kinkela also scored a penalty in Châteauroux's 3-0 win against Niort.

Ivorian striker Koro Koné sealed the win for Dijon in their derby against Auxerre. It was his 3rd goal of the season, all scored in the last 3 games, and the 1st time he played the full game.
