Tiene out of Teranga Lions clash

Cote d'Ivoire defender Siaka Tiene has been ruled out of next month's World Cup qualifying play-off first leg against Senegal in Abidjan as a result of injury.

The 31-year-old wingback injured his thigh while playing for his club Montpellier against Evian TG in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday. He is expected to be out for at least three weeks, according to French daily Midi Libre.

After enduring a difficult 2012-13 season at Paris Saint Germain where he played only two games in the entire campaign, Tiene moved to Montpellier in the summer and has flown off the gates, even netting twice in six games so far.
