Moses Odubajo featured from start to finish when ten-man Walsall spoiled Leyton Orient's 100% winning record in League One with a hard-earned point.
The visitors lost skipper Andy Butler on 17 minutes when his studs caught Romain Vincelot - himself sent off in injury time - but Orient struggled to find a breakthrough.
O's striker David Mooney eased tensions when he converted a loose ball.
But it was cancelled out by unmarked Craig Westcarr's second-half header - the Saddlers' first shot on target.
Vincelot was given his marching orders in time added on for a second bookable offence, as Orient saw their lead at the top reduced to three points.
