Nasarawa Amazons dares Rivers Angels

Rivers Angels' title will be on the line when they square-up against tough customers Nasarawa Amazons. The match promises to be interesting considering the fact that both sides finished tops in their respective groups during the regular season of the 2012/2013 Nigeria Women Football League.


The Amazons have promised to give their all and promised to be fearless against the Edwin Okon-managed side.

They have played in two Fed Cup finals but have not had the chance of winning the shield. Team manager Smart Chigbo said that, he is hopeful of the team can break the taboo and send Rivers Angels to the cleaners.

‘’This time will be different . We have the full support of the Nasarawa government and that is very encouraging and the girls are hungry for success,’’ he assured.

The explosive match will kickoff on Sunday 15th September 2013 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos by 2pm Nigeria Time.
