The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has named the Chairman of Globacom Nigeria Limited Dr Mike Adenuga (Jnr) as the special guest of honour for the Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Malawi at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar, Cross River State on September 7.

In a letter sent to Dr Adenuga, the NFF said it was honouring the Globacom chairman as special guest at the crucial World Cup qualifier against the Flames because of his support and contributions to the advancement of football in the country.
NFF said in the letter; “We acknowledge with deep sense of responsibility your commitment towards supporting programmes of the Nigeria Football Federation. The renewed partnership between the Globacom Unlimited and the League Management Company is a clear example of your love for the game.
“In view of the above, we wish to graciously invite you as our Special Guest of Honour to the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Malawi on Saturday 7th at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Cross River State.”
Globacom is the official sponsor of all Nigerian national football teams. Apart from cash incentives to Super Eagles players and officials for winning the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations last February in South Africa, Dr Adenuga gave a brand new 2013 Range Rover SUV and a Toyota Camry to Head Coach, Stephen Keshi.
