2014WCQ: Eagles ready for any team in playoffs – Keshi

Head coach Stephen Keshi has said the team is ready to face any of the teams in the playoffs that will determine the African qualifiers.

The legendary Nigerian coach edged closed to making another history after leading the Super Eagles of Nigeria into the final qualifying round for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
“I’m confident in this team. The team that played today (Saturday) can face any side. I don’t care about which team we’ll be playing in the next round,” Keshi said after Nigeria beat Malawi 2-0 in the final group F match in Nigeria’s southern city of Calabar on Saturday.
SavidNews.com reports that all but one of the 10 teams that will feature in the final qualifying round have emerged after Saturday’s matches.
The teams that have made it to the playoffs are Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal. The 10th team will emerge on Sunday between Cameroon and Libya.
After a draw slated for 16 Sept. in Cairo, Egypt, each of the 10 teams will play two home and away matches, with the five aggregate winners qualifying for the World Cup finals.
