Seven players may make their debuts for Dolphins against Kwara United on Saturday, March 7 2015 in the opening game of the 2014/15 Nigerian League season.

Joseph Onwuga (Kano Pillars, Onyekachi Akakem (SC Sirte), Cyril Oriakh  (Rangers), Kingsley Ashu (Lobi Stars), Chiwendu Ali (Go Round FC), Daniel Victor (Yobo Academy and Ayo Saka (Enyimba) have been named in the match day squad for the game.

Jonathan Zikiye, Joseph Douhadji and Christian Pyagbara have been left out of the team after they played both legs against Leones Vegetarianos FC in the CAF Confederation Cup.


MATCH PREVIEW

The last time Dolphins failed to win an opening fixture of the league whilst playing at home was in 2007. They drew 1-1 against Bayelsa United at the University of Port Harcourt stadium.

Last season, Dolphins’ opening game was in Owerri against Heartland and it ended 1-1.

Dolphins have never lost to Kwara United in Port Harcourt and haven’t lost to the Ilorin based opponents since 21^st January 2012 in Ilorin. That game ended 1-0 to the home side.

Dolphins have also not lost a league game in Port Harcourt since August 14, 2014, when they lost 2-1 to Sharks.
