Super Eagles Match Ratings Vs Bafana Bafana

Daniel Akpeyi: 7 
 
Proved to one of the Super Eagles' best players on the day, as he pulled off some fine saves, including Jali's penalty.
 
Leon Balogun: 6 
 
Looked solid defensively and got forward on a few occasions but his final poor was poor.
 
Kenneth Omeruo: NA 
 
Had to be replaced early in the first half with an injury.
 
Nelson Ogbonnaya: 6 
 
Put in a solid showing in the heart of the Super Eagles defence but was substituted in the second half.
 
Chima Akas: 6 
 
Did well down the left flank overall but looked nervous in the early exchanges against Serero. 
 
Hope Akpan: 6 
 
Proved to be a busy opening 45 minutes for the defensive midfielder, who struggled to contain the likes of Serero and Manyisa.
 
Ogenyi Onazi: 6 
 
Started off slowly but couldn't get the better of Jali in the midfield battle.
 
Kingsley Sokari: 6 
 
Given a start in the absence of the overseas-based stars but hardly created anything upfront.
 
Moses Simon: 6 
 
Hardly made his presence felt down the wing and failed to get pass his marker on either flanks.
 
Aaron Samuel: 6 
 
Started off brightly and had a few efforts at goal in the first half.
 
Ahmed Musa: 7
 
Although he proved to be quiet in the early exchanges, he popped up late on to score a sublime goal.
 
Substitutes: 
 
Godfrey Oboabona: 5
 
Replaced the injured Omeruo in the first half but gave away the penalty in the second half, which Bafana failed to convert.
 
John Ugo: 6
 
Came on at the start of the second half but was ineffective upfront and picked up a yellow card moments after his introduction.
 
Micheal Babatunde: 6
 
Another halftime substitution but the striker failed to make the desired impact.
 
Steven Ukoh: 6
 
Replaced Akpan at the start of the second half and added a bit more steel to the Super Eagles midfield.
 
Odion Ighalo: 6
 
Failed to replicate his impressive club form when he was introduced in the 65th minute.
